Individualized Custom Coaching is priced at $200/mo or $550/qtr.
As
an Online Correspondence Coaching business, we often work with remote
clients, but with modern technology we can do so without sacrificing our
level or quality of service. I primarily use TRAININGPEAKS to
deliver, download, analyze and communicate with our athletes.
TRAININGPEAKS' state-of-the-art platform is included in my Coaching Package and allows me to plan my athletes'
daily/weekly/monthly schedules, develop an Annual Plan based upon events
and races throughout the season, deliver the workout calendar directly
to them with session targets and descriptions, and after they upload the
workout data from their devices, analyze the data to track our progress
and build upon this to plan the next training block. Since
communication is vital to our combined success, my Coaching Service does
not limit amount of personal communications and I am open to unlimited
email, phone, text messaging, and FaceTime meetups as often as needed.
Included
in my standard Program is also an Initial Planning Session, where we set
season goals and targets, along with discussing potential races and
developing a realistic time commitment to properly prepare for the
planned events. I also include equipment consultations, basic bike
fitting (either in person or using video capture techniques), race
execution planning sessions, race fueling/hydration advice, and whatever
else it takes to get my athletes to their Finish Line with a satisfied
smile on their faces.
As far as technical equipment, I ask all
athletes to have, at minimum, a GPS/HRM watch (Garmin, Suunto, etc) to
track basic data. However, I do highly recommend additional items such
as a bicycle power meter, separate bike computer, "Smart" bike trainer,
and certain swim gear (paddles, fins, etc) in order to maximize my
ability to guide my athletes and get the very best out of each session.
I also highly recommend ZWIFT as a virtual bike training platform, as
it works well in tandem with TRAININGPEAKS, and have found it to be an
extremely effective platform to enhance Indoor Bicycle Training for optimal Outdoor Bike Performance. As
the prices of technology gradually come down, these things become more
available and I am glad to help find the best additions that will not
break the budget.
To begin, i like at least a 3 month initial
commitment, as I feel that is the time that it takes to get to know how
an athlete responds to training stimuli, to build good training habits,
and I think it takes at least that much time even for an athlete who has
already been training to properly prepare for a key event and see
results. For an athlete that is fairly new to structured training it
will likely require a longer time commitment. Personally, I prefer to
work with long term clients, as i find that athletes with "Infinite
Goals" (ie. be a fit, healthy, improving athlete), respond better to my methods
than those with "Finite Goals" (ie. finish X race). That said, I have
worked with both types of athletes and had great success, usually
exceeding their own expectations.
